⬇️ Download keenetic-mcp

🎯 What Is This?

keenetic-mcp is a bridge between your Keenetic router and AI agents like Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible assistant. It uses your router's own RCI API to let the AI understand and manage your home network — no custom firmware, no risky installations on the router itself.

Think of it as giving your AI agent a complete manual for your router. The assistant can see what devices are connected, change Wi-Fi settings, adjust VPN routing, create isolated network segments, and much more — all by talking to you in plain language.

✨ What Can You Do With It?

📶 Wi-Fi Management

Change SSID, passwords, channel settings, and band steering. Set up guest networks in seconds.

📱 Device Control

See every connected device, identify unknown devices, block or prioritize specific gadgets.

🔒 VPN Routing

Configure VPN tunnels, route specific devices or apps through VPN, and manage policies effortlessly.

🧩 Isolated Segments

Create separate network segments to keep IoT devices or guests isolated from your main network.

🚀 Getting Started

Getting started takes less than 10 minutes. Here's exactly what you need to do:

  1. Check your router: This app works with Keenetic routers that support the RCI API (most models from 2016 onward). Just make sure your router has remote management access enabled in its web interface.
  2. Download the application: Visit the download page for keenetic-mcp. The download link is provided above and below. Your download will be a single file — no complex installation or coding needed.
  3. Run the downloaded file: Once the download finishes, simply double-click the file to run it. A small window will open showing that the server is running.
  4. Connect your AI assistant: In Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, add the connection details (the app will show you exactly what to paste). It's like plugging in a USB cable — just copy and paste one line.
  5. Start chatting about your network: Try asking "What devices are connected?" or "Turn off the guest Wi-Fi after 10 PM". The AI will handle it for you.

No terminal commands, no programming skills, no router modifications. If you can use a web browser, you can use keenetic-mcp.

System requirements: Windows 10 or Windows 11 (64-bit), any modern macOS or Linux system also works. You'll need about 50 MB of free space and a stable connection to your Keenetic router.

What you get: The application includes the MCP server, ready-made plugins that teach the AI how your router behaves, and a friendly setup guide. Everything works out of the box — no additional downloads needed.

First time users: When you run the app for the first time, it will ask for your router's IP address (usually 192.168.1.1) and your admin credentials. These are the same details you use to log into your router's web interface. Nothing is stored permanently — just enough to connect.

🔧 Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to install anything on my router?
A: Absolutely not! keenetic-mcp works entirely from your computer, using your router's built-in RCI API. Your router stays safe and unmodified.

Q: Which Keenetic models are supported?
A: Any Keenetic router with RCI support — which includes all modern models (Keenetic Giga, Ultra, Hero, Viva, Air, and others released since 2016). Check your router's documentation or web interface to confirm.

Q: Is my network secure with this?
A: Yes. The connection between your computer and the router is encrypted and uses your existing admin credentials. The AI only sees what you ask it about, and all commands require your permission.

Q: What if I get stuck?
A: The app includes built-in help and the download page has a detailed guide. You can also ask the AI assistant itself — it knows how to figure out most issues on its own.
